Bain scored on a breakaway layup just before the overtime buzzer to give the Nacogdoches, Texas-based school an 85-83 victory that sent shock waves through the sport, ending the Blue Devils' 150-game winning streak at Cameron against nonconference opponents - a run that extended almost 20 years. I just want to make my country proud and my whole team is behind me.

Sad as the revelation was, it's led to a huge financial windfall after Bain's game-winner sparked a spike in donations to a GoFundMe account set up to help the player's family rebuild in the aftermath of Dorian, considered the worst national disaster in the Bahamas' history.

For after each game, we have posted a Stock Up, Stock Down column, highlighting the players that performed well and those who didn't play up to its standards for each game. From the beginning of the second half to the final buzzer in overtime, Stephen F. Austin looked like the team playing with an unthinkable record, not Duke.

Tuesday night's game-winning shot against the No.1-ranked Duke Blue Devils on the road was about more than just the game of basketball for Stephen F. Austin senior forward Nathan Bain, says his high school coach at Sunrise Christian Academy, Luke Barnwell.

"I advised our gamers, 'Banners can't beat us tonight, '" Stephen F. Austin coach Kyle Keller stated. Nathan Bain's game-winning layup with time expiring gave us a taste of March Madness ahead of Thanksgiving, with SFA playing the November Cinderella. "I could feel the dude on my back, and I just prayed it [would] go in". Score: 85-83. Mayhem ensued. "I'm trying not to get emotional, whew... We had about 2.6 seconds", Bain told the network.

Duke was favored by 27.5 points entering the game, making this the biggest upset by spread. There are no NCAA-related issues with the page, his team reports. At that time, more than 3,400 donations had been made. "If we would've won, we would not be deserving of winning". As a team, the Blue Devils missed 16 free throws, their most in a home game since 2008.

Duke is particularly nasty at home against nonconference opponents.

"To help the Bain family overcome the devastation of Hurricane Dorian and because he brought down Duke".

"He doesn't have to play us", Keller said of Coach K.

Jones had 17 points and 12 assists - but also eight turnovers against a Stephen F. Austin defense that is the nation's best at generating takeaways.
