Thomas was taken to Washington County Jail on suspicion of DUI and booked for misdemeanor driving under the influence of intoxicants.

KGW reports the Tualatin Police Department said they received a call about a vehicle that was not moving. Thomas was released Tuesday morning.

Those signs and Thomas' BAC were not revealed by authorities.

In the years following his early success, Thomas acted in several TV roles and films.

"It upset me when she had problems because she was so young", Thomas said. "I think back to when I was a kid and realize now that a lot of crews I worked with were just fueled by coke but at the time I was oblivious". But the only time I had to deal with it was when I left the house.

Thomas said he never abused alcohol or drugs which may still be the case even with his latest arrest.

Henry Thomas as Elliott in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". New reports detail how the 48-year-old has run into some legal troubles since he was arrested for a DUI this past Monday.

Jail records show that Henry has since been released from custody. He played Father Tom Hogan in the horror film Ouija: Origin of Evil and played "Tom" in the Netflix movie "Gerald's Game".

While Thomas' Haunting of Hill House character wasn't the one plagued by substance abuse, all of the ghostly trauma may have been enough to drive him to drink, especially since he's been cast in the second season follow up, which is based on Henry James' Turn of the Screw.
