"I already know the sexual tension between Robert Pattinson (Batman) and Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman) in #TheBatman will be THE". Back in 2015, the actress revealed she was denied an audition for The Dark Knight Rises for being too "urban".

Later, Kehlani retweeted a news story that stated The Batman writer-director Matt Reeves was on the hunt for a new Catwoman, and the singer recommended "Teyana PHUCKING taylor".

Stunning: The solo outing came amid the news that Zoe Kravitz had been cast as The Catwoman in his upcoming superhero flick.

The Wrap is reporting that Zoe Kravitz will be playing Catwoman/Selina Kyle in the upcoming The Batman. Deadline brings word that Zoë Kravitz is about to follow in the footsteps (or shall we say paw prints?) of Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Anne Hathaway. Since 2017, Kravitz has starred on HBO's Big Little Lies as Bonnie Carlson.

Minor internet backlash be damned: Robert Pattinson is a flawless Batman, totally able to pull off the brooding mystery required of the character without ever falling into self-parody. Also confirmed as cast so far as production ramps up is Westworld's Jeffrey Wright in the role of Batman's long-time ally Police Commissioner Jim Gordon.

"The Batman" is slated to hit theaters June 25, 2021 and will be written and directed by Matt Reeves - the man behind the last two "Planet of the Apes" films. He's married to Lisa Bonet, Kravitz's mother, which technically makes Aquaman Catwoman's stepfather. She also lent her voice to Mary Jane in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
