Law enforcement officials in Florida allege Vázquez has for two years maintained a sexual relationship with a now-15-year-old girl who resides in Lee County, Fla.
Vazquez is also accused of performing a sex act in a video that he sent to the girl in July, according to police.
Authorities arrested Vazquez and took him to Allegheny County Jail after executing a search warrant at his Pittsburgh apartment.
Following the arrest, police seized electronic devices that will be examined as part of the investigation. Additional charges may still come. Vazquez is expected to be extradited to Florida.
Vazquez was denied bond at his arraignment hearing on the Florida charges Tuesday afternoon, according to Jason Mackey and Shelly Bradbury of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Crick maintained Vazquez threw the first punch, with general manager Neal Huntington condemning both players for their actions.
Teams found the Pirates' demands exorbitant, and Vazquez remained with Pittsburgh.
