Following a vehicle accident which happened over the weekend in Calabasas, California, Kevin Hart suffered serious back injuries so, was unable to make his appearance on the brand new Kelly Clarkson Show.
In Los Angeles, the Night School alum had to undergo a procedure this past Sunday night to fuse the fractures, two in the thoracic part of his spine and one in the lower back, also known as the lumbar spine.
While the surgery was a success, the "Jumanji" star is still heavily medicated and "going through hell", the site said.
The Kelly Clarkson Show airs in national syndication in 100% of the country, and is produced and distributed by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution. Thankfully, The Rock was able to step in as a suitable substitute, even though it meant interrupting this honeymoon with his new wife, Lauren Hashian, 34.
He continued, "I did leave my honeymoon early (Lauren approved cos she LOVES Kelly) and now me and Kelly are new best friends. We had the best time!"
"The first three years of my career was me just paying for winning a talent show", Clarkson, 37, admitted to USA Today on Wednesday. He is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days while he recovers completely from his injuries and is being kept under thorough observation.
Hart was a passenger in a vehicle on Malibu's Mulholland Highway when it was involved in a crash that saw the auto plummet off the side of the road and into a ditch. Hart left the scene and headed to his home nearby, but was later treated for his injuries at a local hospital. Black's fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, was in the back seat.
Hart was hospitalised with a major back injury over the weekend, and is recovering from a back surgery at the moment.
