The majority of people now interested in foldable smartphones are tech fans.
The company is reportedly collaborating with American designer Thom Browne on the design of the device. The upcoming Galaxy Fold also comes in a 5G variant but it will definitely cost a lot more than its LTE version.
The top protective layer of the Infinity Flex Display has been extended beyond the bezel, making it apparent that it is an integral part of the display structure and not meant to be removed. Although the launch date of the phone isn't known yet, users were expecting these new additions to the Galaxy A series to launch in early 2020. The phone's release is yet to be greenlit, though. However, the newly unveiled Galaxy A90 5G from Samsung is a cheaper 5G smartphone compared to the S-series and Note-series 5G phones.
One key advantage that next year's 6.7-inch foldable will have over the Fold is that its shape when open will be basically that of a smartphone: so it will run Android phone apps in their native state.
At $1,980, the Galaxy Fold costs almost twice what you'd pay for a traditional flagship. What does it offer? The company confirmed the phone would reach other markets in the near future with a different price tag. According to tipster Evan Blass, though, the launch will take place on Friday, September 27. As per previously leaked information, it could be a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
However, a media event for the Galaxy Fold is expected to be announced soon, according to industry officials. Under the bonnet is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 - the same as you'll find powering the Galaxy S10 in some regions, coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, although this can be expanded.
In regards to the camera department, the Galaxy Fold is equipped with a total of six cameras. Purchases of a Samsung Galaxy A50, A70, A80 or S10e will come with a complimentary pair of AKG Y500 wireless headphones via redemption coupon. On the front, these are joined by a 32 megapixel f/2 notch-style selfie camera.
