"Hi, all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward". Well, sort of - but not because they want these two insane kids to get back together!
The new track is titled Slide Away and fans seem to think the lyrics could be referencing her split after eight months of marriage to Hemsworth with lyrics that open saying: "Once upon a time, it was paradise/One upon a time, I was paralysed/Think I'm gonna miss these harbour lights/But it's time to let it go". The song also alludes to Hemsworth's and Cyrus' past bad habits and partying, divulging in her lyrics that the singer wants a, "house in the hills" and not "the whiskey and pills". "Once upon a time, it was made for us / Woke up one day, it had turned to dust", she sings. "Move on, we're not 17/ I'm not who I used to be", reveals that exact sentiment.
"They're having a break right now because they needed it".
Miley's song reveals how heartbroken she is about her split with Liam and even though she really misses him, she has made a decision to let go.
While this is the first song Miley has released since the split was announced, it is unclear if it was written or recorded while she and Liam were separated. E!
"They both agreed it's better to spend time apart, but this doesn't mean their relationship is completely over". "They just want her to be happy".
Pundits think that she will not just give up on a 10-year relationship but the mud-slinging in public is not helping matters now.
