President Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that African Americans are so delighted with his attacks on the city of Baltimore and USA congressman Elijah Cummings, an African American, that they are calling him at the White House in large numbers to thank him. Must have intimidated Comcast/NBC.
In a follow-up tweet, he added, "Trump says I'm a troublemaker & con man".
"Seldom, but sometimes, I would go".
Many Democrats have complained about Trump's criticism of Cummings and Baltimore, but most have deflected the arguments Trump was making and had no rebuttals for the slew of stories and videos showing the state of Baltimore-including years of stories about growing problems with rat infestations-the crime statistics, and footage shared by Republican strategist Kimberly Klacik showing some parts of Cummings's district in the city.
Earlier in the day Trump gave a speech in Jamestown, Va., honoring the birth of democracy in the New World in which he cited the contributions and struggles of the African-American community. 'You take the top ten most unsafe cities in this country, and they are all controlled by Democrats'. But many economists view the continued economic growth since the middle of 2009, when then-president Barack Obama was in office, as the primary explanation for hiring. Cummings' committee, though, is leading several Trump-focused investigations-including one into the security clearance process at the White House, and one into Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's use of private email accounts while conducting official administration business. Before departing the White House, the president fielded his first questions from the press about his attacks on Cummings and accusations from opponents that he is a racist.
On Monday, the president turned from his tweets criticizing Cummings to Sharpton, whom he characterized on Twitter as a "con man" who "Hates Whites & Cops".
"If the Democrats are going to defend the Radical Left "Squad" and King Elijah's Baltimore Fail, it will be a long road to 2020", Trump wrote on Monday.
