Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kieran Trippier.

Trippier has enjoyed a very positive 12 months or so.

With no need to invest in a fullback, Tottenham may be plotting to use the £25m to strengthen in other areas, as they aim to mount a challenge for the Premier League title this season.

The Lilywhites made it all the way to the final, though they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool.

Kieran Trippier is in Madrid, all ready to start what will be an exciting new chapter in both his career and life.

Additionally, Ornstein also confirmed that Arsenal is in talks with Real Madrid to bring Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos to the Emirates on loan next season, another Tottenham target.

Spurs will reportedly seek a fee in the region of £25million for the 29-year-old.

'With this signing, we add to our team a fantastic and experienced player who comes to us from the Champions League runners-up, ' their statement read.

Having initially played second-fiddle to Kyle Walker, he emerged as Mauricio Pochettino's main right-back after Walker's departure to Manchester City.

Some reports suggested Spurs could sign striker Angel Correa from Atletico as part of the deal but it now appears Trippier will leave in a cash-only transfer.

Eriksen revealed at the start of the summer that he felt now was the right time to move onto pastures new, but with Real Madrid cooling their interest it remains to been whether the Denmark worldwide can find a landing spot before the window closes.

That could push Walker-Peters higher up the pecking order at Tottenham, although he does have competition from Argentine defender Juan Foyth, who has recently returned from the Copa America.
