Archie Mountbatten-Windsor was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury in a private ceremony at Windsor Castle on Saturday, with two official pictures of the day shared with royal fans on Instagram.

The pictures from Royal baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor christening, son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are out and we can not stop gushing about him.

Overnight, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor was christened at Windsor Castle in a ceremony that was shrouded in secrecy. "They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment".

The second image is a family portrait of the family-of-three alongside Harry's dad Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Harry's brother Prince William and wife Kate, Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, and the sisters of Harry's late mother Diana, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale. The robe, which has been worn by royal infants on the occasion of their christening for the last 11 years, was made by Angela Kelly, dressmaker to the Queen.

With Meghan and Harry in the foreground holding baby Archie, close family were gathered in the sumptuous shot. And, not only did he add pavé diamonds, but he also included tiny peridot, emerald, and sapphire stones which are Meghan, Archie, and Harry's birthstones, respectively. The new images came nearly two months after the world caught its first glimpse of the seventh-in-line to the throne during a photocall on May 8.

However, this weekend, we know exactly where she is and isn't. Harry and Meghan married at Windsor Castle, west of London, last year.

People reported that the Queen's absence was due to a string of prior commitments, while her husband Philip, who retired from public duty, does not attend many events.

Archie's christening was a chance for redemption - something to be celebrated around the world.

The decision to keep Archie's christening private had been criticized by many throughout Britain, who feel entitled to be part of Archie's big day as taxpayers paid over $3 million for the renovation of their new home, Frogmore Cottage.

However, in the caption of Archie's christening photos on Instagram, they noted that the anonymous pair were present for the ceremony.

As one of our loyal readers, we ask you to be our partner. She gave a reading at the wedding.

"The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private", the palace said in a statement on Friday.
