Following a divorce hearing in court on June 14, Courtney Irby's soon-to-be ex-husband, Joseph, rammed her vehicle and ultimately drove her off the road.

The ex wife of a man now behind bars accused of trying to run her down has been charged after allegedly stealing his guns.

Courtney Irby spent six days in jail on charges of armed burglary and grand theft after she retrieved the assault rifle and handgun from her husband's apartment and gave them to the Lakeland Police. We should be outraged by her arrest, and Irby should not be prosecuted by the local State Attorney's office.

"Yes, I am", Irby replied, "but he wasn't going to turn them (the guns) in so I am doing so".

He told police the scratches on his bumper were old, though the reporting officer wrote that she observed paint transfer that matched Taylor Irby's vehicle.

Police in Bartow, Fla. arrested 35-year-old Joseph Irby on June 14 for domestic violence and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was arrested June 14 on domestic violence charges.

"She made this decision after her husband. was taken to jail after running her off the road and hitting her vehicle, while she was driving, with his auto", Eskamani, D-Orlando, writes to Haas, who represents Florida's 10th Judicial Circuit.

On the Port St. Lucie Police Facebook post about the killings, Angela McLendon said she worked with Torres at a women's health care center in nearby Jensen Beach, just 7 miles southeast of the Port St. Lucie apartment complex where her daughter and step-father were found dead. She did not believe Joseph would comply with the judge's order, and she said she remained in fear for her life.

"She is cooperating so we anticipate we will get a full story", Port St. Lucie Police Detective Sgt. Terry Henkel said.

After they arrested Courtney, police called Joseph at the Polk County jail.

"We have to prioritize cases of domestic violence, knowing that if we don't, people could die", she said.

Eskamani filed a bill in the past legislative session seeking to expand authority to remove weapons from those convicted of a domestic violence offense.

Sabin said she learned that she and Irby have mutual friends.
