In the next 48 hours, Frank Lampard will be appointed Chelsea's chief coach, talkSPORT reported.

The Blues are now on the lookout for a new manager after Maurizio Sarri left Stamford Bridge after just one year to take over at Juventus.

Lampard is Chelsea's first choice following his impressive debut campaign as a manager with Derby.

The England U21 global will return to Chelsea this summer following a prolific loan spell at Aston Villa, the 21-year-old scoring 26 goals to help fire the Midlands side to promotion to the Premier League.

However, Derby are determined to keep hold of a manager who led them to the Championship play-off final in 2018/19.

"I am pretty sure he knows all about me".

And Drogba, himself considered a legend at Chelsea, believes Hazard is such a talent that his former club will not be able to directly replace the Belgian star but will need to instead develop a player to take over from the 28-year-old.

"These two windows are a great opportunity for the young players at Chelsea to show what they can do".

"Whoever goes into Chelsea as manager I am going to show him what I am truly made of", Abraham said.

Aston Villa, however, will hope it doesn't for another talented Chelsea player. The Blues have a reputation of loaning out youngsters, but they will stay at the club for a season - majorly down to the transfer ban.

The Belgian playmaker finally completed his much-anticipated move to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC earlier this month after years of speculation linking him with a switch to Spain.
