The latest mega-blockbuster from Marvel Studios has earned a worldwide total of $2.732 billion at the box office so far, putting it within range of beating "Avatar", which raked in $2.788 billion to become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

Another Crystal Dynamics developer, lead combat designer Vincent Napoli, also said that there won't be microtransactions that can affect gameplay.

Avengers: Endgame is one of the most anticipated home media releases of the year and couldn't come soon enough for those of us wanting to take a closer look at the epic film that closes out MCU's 22-film "Infinity Saga".

So although we might see some minor tweaks, don't expect a complete overhaul of how the Avengers now look in the upcoming Marvel game.

Of course, that doesn't mean last weekend's trailer is the be all and end all. Others are more bothered by the bulky, unappealing costumes sported by some of the cast, particularly Thor and Captain America.

Whatever fans might think, Crystal Dynamics seem happy with the overall Marvel's Avengers character designs. While the reveal showed very little gameplay, we were introduced to some of the new character designs for our titular heroes, and some fans are not fans of these new designs. Keep your eyes open for this game's release in May 2020. Now we know: the game has a core single player storyline that you'll be playing alone, jumping between different Avengers automatically as the story and action necessitates it.

Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man departed from the MCU with Endgame, leaving a hole not only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also in our hearts.
