You need to calm down - Taylor Swift officially announced her new album.

Why do I have a feeling she's only JUST getting started...?

'But we figured you out/We all know now we all got crowns/You need to calm down, ' she concludes.

Before signing off and thanking all her fans for their support, Swift shared a few additional details about the overall vibe of Lover. "I wanted you to hear the song first, then see the video", wrote the singer. She also slays all homophobes with the I C O N I C lyrics: Sunshine on the street at the parade/But you would rather be in the dark ages/Making that sign/Must've taken all night./Cause shade never made anybody less gay.

"Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-ohhhh / you need to calm down / you're being too loud".

Taylor Swift made a major announcement on Instagram on June 13 - new info on her forthcoming album and next single - but the incredible news wasn't enough for Lindsay Lohan.

As you might recall, the word "Lover" appeared prominently on that video - in fact, it was so prominent, that fans thought there was no way it would be hidden in such plain sight. She also revealed that it's available for pre-order and pre-save now, ahead of its official release on August 23. She had big, huge exciting news for Swift Nation. Also in the song, Taylor doesn't forget to stand up for her fellow women in the industry and call out anyone who tries to pit her against her peers.

Brendon Urie, left, and Taylor Swift perform Me! at the Billboard Music Awards. I think you can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through a conflict or dealing with things in your life.

We don't yet have a music video for "You Need To Calm Down"; that'll be premiered on Good Morning America on June 17, which means it'll arrive sometime Sunday afternoon for Australian audiences.

The special edition albums also include; posters, "exclusive content", blank journal pages and a lyric book.

We've got a lot of time to kill between now and the new album.
