Build-A-Bear hosting 'Pay Your Age' day in June

Build-A-Bear Pay Your Age Day is back, but things are different this year

After last year's chaos, Build-A-Bear brings back 'Pay Your Age' campaign with new rules

Last year, customers lined up at stores nationwide, some waiting for hours.

Many families went home without a new stuffed animal, despite being promised the chance to buy one at a serious discount. Instead, only a select number of children holding Pay Your Age "winner" tickets will get a furry friend. It was so popular some stores were forced to close due to safety concerns. Adults were angry, children were crying, and Build-A-Bear ended up a victim of its own success, feebly offering vouchers to ticked-off would-be customers.

More than 200,000 guests worldwide will receive tickets and can redeem the offer in stores during two redemption periods from June 24-28.

Again, you'll have to sign up to be a Bonus Club member, but once you do you can bring your child in any day during their birthday month to get a cuddly new Birthday Treat Bear made for them and just pay based on his or her age. You have until June 16 to enter.

Now, rather than simply showing up on a given day and waiting in a massive line, Build-A-Bear has a three-step process for a chance to pay your age for one of the stuffed bears.

Ten lucky winners will get a grand prize of a birthday party experience to use any time in the next 12 months up to $250.

Becoming a Bonus Club Member is free and will give you access to special offers, unique events and a chance to earn points towards valuable rewards.
