Imagine waking up to the sound of broken glass to find an 11-foot alligator instead of a burglar.

The alligator smashed her stash of wine bottles, destroyed the kitchen table and damaged the walls.

The homeowner told television station WTVT in Tampa Bay that she woke up to noises in her kitchen about 3 a.m.

"I heard this huge, monstrous crash, like the whole roof was falling in on the side of my house", she said.
