However, Vivek Oberoi crossed a serious line when on Monday he shared a post on Twitter mocking Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her relationships.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Monday sought a response from Vivek for his "misogynistic" tweet on exit polls. "Apologies. tweet deleted", the actor added.

Condemning the actor's tweet, NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma posted on the microblogging site, "This tweet is absolutely Disgusting, distasteful, and degrading a women".

Vivek Oberoi tweeted apology in the form of sharing the insult and disrespectful meme featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But, he doesn't think that he has done anything wrong. "It's personal advice that please lessen the overacting in your films and lessen overreacting on social media". I laughed on it and I appreciated the person for his creativity. We will be talking to Twitter to remove that tweet immediately, ' she added.

She further said, "I will never forget how they refused to take Kangana's complaint against a big star, but come to fight for these childish jokes when so many rape and harassment cases are lying unaddressed".
