It seems like most people already knew that Portland Hospital was the most likely location for the birth, so there wasn't much need for secrecy. They were so excited to get that letter from her. So royal watchers kind of freaked out.

Royal fans have been speculating for the past few weeks over what exactly happened in those final hours before the newest member of the royal family entered the world.
The clip nods to the real-life event in which Meghan's half-sister Samantha, admittedly, staged several paparazzi photoshoots of their father making wedding day preparations in order to salvage his public persona, followed by heart attack rumors and Markle's consequent lack of attendance at the ceremony to avoid any further embarrassment.
