"We were deeply disturbed by what we heard, we were deeply concerned. We have great concern for Crystal, we are greatly concerned for Tyreek, but our main concern is with the young child". "As I said yesterday, we're going to continue to gather information, evaluate information and, as I said yesterday, we'll make the right decision when the time is appropriate".

Veach declined to take any questions.

Dorsey and Chiefs coach Andy Reid insisted at the time that they did "due diligence" in selecting Hill, and that they were confident that he would make the most of a second chance.

So....did the Chiefs learn anything from the Tyreek Hill experiment? "My son's health and happiness is my number one priority", his statement reads.

In the 11-minute audio recording obtained by KCTV, the couple discussed the police investigation over alleged child abuse and her son's arm injury.

In the recording, Espinal tells Hill that the boy has repeatedly accused the National Football League star of attacking him, allegedly telling her that "daddy punches me".

Espinal also tells Hill their son is "terrified of you". Espinal told Hill that their son is terrified of him to which Hill responded, "You need to be terrified of me, too, b--". If the Chiefs decide to cut Hill, he would still be subject to any discipline by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell regardless if another team signs him. "I think you understand also that the (criminal) case has been reopened, so we'll stick with the statement we made last night about Tyreek".

KCTV said the audio was sent to the station without disclosing from whom.

Hill has a history of domestic issues, including a case in which he was accused of punching Espinal while she was pregnant and they were attending Oklahoma State. Kansas City took Hardman with the No. 56 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft on Friday night. KCTV reports the recording which is from March was an "insurance policy" for Espinal who is "covering" for Hill.

Espinal also seemed to reference the investigation at one point during the recording, remarking, "And now, somehow this investigation got brought back up, and you're about to lose your [deleted]". Then audio tapes this week came out where Hill threatened the mother of his child and detailed how their child's arm got broken.
