Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ‘calm’ despite Manchester City’s win over United

In a Premier League season dominated by Manchester City and Liverpool, Manchester United, the largest and most successful club in English football's history, has fallen relatively under the radar for much of the campaign.

Second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane ensured a comfortable win for City, who have now won 11 straight league games. Now it's clear, we are one point behind City and if we win our next two games, then it will be decided on the last game.

Victory will also put Liverpool back on top of the table with two games remaining, although the recurring pattern of this most extraordinary title race will likely mean that Manchester City take it back two days later at Burnley.

"I understand the pressure we have and obviously here at Old Trafford with Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard running behind", the City boss told Sky Sports.

"All a bit questionable, we don't know exactly in the moment". It's important to be calm.

There is, though, nearly no prospect of them allowing Manchester City a pressure-free couple of days by dropping points against Huddersfield.

Should City come out on top of the Premier League again, Guardiola could boast winning an incredible eight of the last nine domestic league titles he's been involved with across three different leagues and with three different teams. But it can be just one. The team celebrated Solskjaer's lengthy contract with a 2-1 home win over Watford, but even in victory, they didn't look wholly convincing as they avoided a sting in the tail from the Hornets.

The German winger said: "Like we did all season (we must) stay focused".

'He said a couple of really good things and inspired, hopefully, some people on one side to think about a few things, and on the other side he got other people aware of him. "However the season ends up this is the first step".

Scotland star Andy Robertson has been named in this year's Professional Footballers' Association top-flight Team of the Year.

"I hope and pray Ole does well, he's a good guy".

City then comfortably saw out the game, the only downside being an injury to Fernandinho.

"And that's my job, to make sure when we come back for pre-season that I have the right characters in and around [the squad]".

"I watched it and I was completely calm", said Klopp about the Manchester derby.
