The Mueller Report: Watch Live Stream of AG William Barr's Press Conference

William Barr says Mueller found 10 cases of possible Trump obstruction ahead of report's release

The Justice Department said it was sending Congress a different version of the Mueller report with fewer redactions.

"AG Barr presented a conclusion that Donald Trump did not obstruct justice, while the Mueller report appears to undercut that finding", Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted. Trump said of the Russian Federation probe in a tweet Thursday morning. At his news conference, Barr said he was standing by his own ruling, noting that Trump had no intention to obstruct and had merely been "frustrated and angered". Barr also said that Mueller "did not find any conspiracy to violate USA law involving Russia-linked persons and any persons associated with the Trump campaign".

GREENE: Let me turn to the other big question here, which was the question of collusion - again, the attorney general saying that there is no evidence of anyone in the Trump campaign - no Americans, actually - working with Russian Federation. But we also know that Mueller wanted to interview Trump and that the White House fought it for months. But it is likely to contain unflattering details about the president's efforts to control the Russian Federation investigation that will cloud his ability to credibly claim total exoneration.

In addition to former FBI director James Comey's firing, Mueller scrutinized the president's request of Comey to end an investigation into Trump's first national security adviser, his relentless badgering of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions over his recusal from the Russian Federation investigation and his role in drafting an incomplete explanation about a meeting his oldest son took at Trump Tower with a Kremlin-connected lawyer.

"Crimes were committed by Crooked, Dirty Cops and DNC/The Democrats", although there is no evidence of that.

In June of that year, Mueller wrote, Trump directed White House Counsel Don McGahn to call Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversaw the probe, and say that Mueller must be ousted because he had conflicts of interest.

We are awaiting the release of special - the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report sometime later this morning, and we'll be covering that throughout the day.

Attorney General Barr's press conference is getting ready to start.

Mr. Trump slumped back in his chair upon learning of the news.

Mr Trump told reporters: "This should never happen to another president again".

He added: "Apart from whether the acts were obstructive, this evidence of non-corrupt motives weighs heavily against any allegation that the president had a corrupt intent to obstruct the investigation".

"We're accepting apologies today, too", Conway told reporters, adding that Trump watched Barr, talked to his lawyers and was in "a great mood".

The attorney general also confirmed that at no point did President Trump exercise his legitimate executive privilege and ask that anything be removed from the report.

The report also detailed in exhaustive fashion efforts that Trump made to shut down or impede the Mueller investigation.

The Mueller report's release comes after Justice Department officials reportedly held numerous conversations with White House lawyers about the document in recent days.

For all of that, Mueller said in his report that he could not conclusively determine that the president had committed criminal obstruction of justice. Using something of a double negative, the report said that "if we had confidence.that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state".

The report says the president's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly stopped by those around him declining to carry out his orders. The Judiciary panel authorized a subpoena for that report in early April, and he reportedly plan to subpoena the Justice Department as early as Friday for all of Mueller's findings.
