Clippers, Warriors tied 1-1 heading to game 3

Durant, Beverley tossed; Curry, Warriors take Game 1

DeMarcus Cousins has a torn left quadriceps muscle that will sideline the Golden State center indefinitely, a devastating injury that the Warriors feared was serious when he went down in the first quarter of their first-round playoff loss to the Clippers.

If it wasn't for Jamal Murray's red-hot fourth quarter shooting in Game 2, the Denver Nuggets could have found themselves trailing 0-2 in their series with the San Antonio Spurs. The visitors scored 85 points in the second half to beat the two-time defending champions 135-131.

"It was a fiery locker room after we let the game slip against the Clippers". We were up 30 in Game 2.

Durant scored 23 points in Game 1 before he was ejected, but he took just 16 shots. "And it worked out for us", Rivers said.

TOP PERFORMERS: Danilo Gallinari is averaging 19.8 points and six rebounds for the Clippers. The Clippers set a playoff record by notching a 31-point comeback in their win over the Warriors.

Boogie signed a 1 year $5.3 Million deal with the Golden State Warriors last offseason, he missed the first 45 games of the regular season as he was recovering from a ruptured left Achilles tendon, he attained the injury while he was playing for the New Orleans Pelicans in January 2018. If their shots are falling from outside in the first half of Game 3, it could mean an easy 1H cover for the Warriors.

Philadelphia and Brooklyn play the other Game 3 of the night in an East series that also is tied at a game apiece. Expect a much different version of Durant, the one that's won two straight NBA Finals MVPs, to show up for the remainder of the series.

Draymond Green provided a surprising offensive spark with 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting to go with seven rebounds and a team-high-tying seven assists, helping Golden State win the opener of its first-round series for the sixth consecutive season.

His eight field goal attempts in Game 2 are the second-fewest in his playoff career.

Beverly is a terrific defender that got Durant off his game at Oracle Arena.

Beyond those particular scenarios, Durant has been highly efficient scoring the ball and is playing the same way that led to many Warriors victories late in the season.
