Gearbox has released the first official trailer for Borderlands 3.
Tales from the Borderlands aside, most of the Borderlands franchise will be playable in 4k resolution beginning next week, and that could give fans some motivation to play through the series again in anticipation of the highly-anticipated Borderlands 3.
The biggest news to come from Gearbox's PAX East 2019 panel was undoubtedly the reveal of Borderlands 3. As for Borderlands GOTY Edition, it will be remastered for PS4 and Xbox One, with a few updated features. Who knows, maybe they're porting Borderlands 2 to the Atari Jaguar? The game will be available to purchase starting April 3; check out the trailer above to get a look at the new graphics. Does Borderlands 3 follow in that mold, or does it try to do something different?
‘Borderlands 3’s Official Trailer Confirms More Than One Billion Guns
The developer didn't mention when the game would be coming out, where it would be sold or to which platforms it would arrive. It looks like a celebration of everything Borderlands, which could point to every character appearing in the sequel or potential remasters on the horizon, perhaps in a new engine? After years of waiting, Borderlands 3 has been revealed, and you can see it in action via the announcement trailer that we've embedded above.
Update: While we await more details about this next Borderlands game, Randy Pitchford demoed Tiny Tina's Robot Tea Party card game, the first board game to use the Borderlands license. The trailer introduces a bunch of new characters, including the new main villains.
