How is England expected to line up vs Czech Republic for the Euro 2020 qualifiers?

"I can't overthink me, lad", the Everton goalkeeper said with a huge smile on his face.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has defended his form after manager Gareth Southgate said he would start England's Euro 2020 qualifier against the Czech Republic.

"Screenshots circulating on social media this week showed the West Ham midfielder writing "Up the Ra" and "#upthera" underneath teammates' posts in 2015.

"But I'm only 25, and I think as a learning curve for me".

"Since the World Cup, I've seen the good side, getting rounds of applause in stadiums".

"It's weird, because when you turn your phone on, the first thing you do is go on Twitter or Instagram and see what you've been mentioned in, but every footballer is different, and every sports person is different".

"I know when I switched I felt really, really English".

Jurgen Klopp's side slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev before Henderson joined up with an England squad which would go on to surprise many onlookers by reaching the last four in Russian Federation.

The Everton defender's comments may not go down too well with his brother Will, who has expressed his desire to play his worldwide football with Ireland, having represented England at underage level.

The Reds captain said: "It gives you even more motivation to then keep going, keep wanting to be in that position again to make it right, and go that final step, really", he said.

"Sometimes maybe it just doesn't go right in the game but that's football and I think I'm definitely improving game by game and getting more experience is good".

'The future is bright really with all the young players coming through and how well they are doing, that's really good for England. And give them a little bit of experience on what to expect.

"The more players you have playing in those finals, the better really".

Jadon Sancho made his first competitive start and newly-eligible Declan Rice made his debut on a memorable night, but one man dominated the talk after Friday's Group A opener.
