R. Kelly released from jail after being held for unpaid child support

Report: R. Kelly To File Docs To Get Back Child Support Reduced Following Arrest

R Kelly released from jail after paying child support

Kelly's most recent jailing, on Wednesday, involved what authorities said was failure to pay his ex-wife child support of $161,000.

Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenberg, said he could not discuss the child support payment because of a judge's gag order in that case.

Kelly was released from Cook County Jail Saturday after $161,000 in child support was paid on his behalf.

After an arrest tied to the numerous sexual abuse allegations against him, the "I Believe I Can Fly" crooner was locked up again on Wednesday for not paying child support.

Considering what's been reported earlier today from Kelly's old lawyer, who is now coming clean about his defense of the singer more than a decade ago, maybe it'll be a little more complicated than we can imagine to have this whole thing straightened out.

R. Kelly is back on the streets.

He said Kelly did not have the whole amount because he has not been able to work.

R. Kelly addressed the crowd waiting for his release from the Cook County jail Saturday afternoon. "I love my fans", he said.

Singer R. Kelly has been taken into custody for failure to pay child support and is expected to be jailed this evening, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office in Chicago.

R-Kelly is released from jail in Chicago, March, 09, 2019. "Robert, you know what you did", Andrea said during one of her segments.

Last month, the embattled musician was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, some involving underage victims, following years of allegations of sexual abuse from women and underage girls.

Kelly's attorney went on to say that "there is no money", for the women accusing the singer while hinting that the only real incentive for the women going public is "fame". He now faces 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. How can I take care of my kids? How?

Kelly spent a weekend in jail after his arrest last month and wasn't freed until a 47-year-old suburban Chicago business owner - Valencia Love - posted his $100,000 bail.
