Chrissy Metz is denying reports that she made a major live-TV no no.
The whole Metz-Brie drama began after Metz had finished an interview with the official Golden Globes Facebook Live pre-show. Brie wrote in her Instagram stories along with a photo of her and the "This Is Us" star. "Rumors can't keep us down!"
Talking with PEOPLE during the ceremony, Metz denied that she had called Brie a "bitch". In the aftermath, Us Magazine deleted its tweet on the matter.
During an interview with Vanity Fair reporter Nicole Sperling, Brie was apparently very confused by it all and questioned why anyone would think Metz made that comment.
What appeared to be bad blood between Chrissy Metz and Alison Brie was seemingly exposed on Sunday at the Golden Globes, becoming the controversy nobody saw coming.
"I don't speak about anyone like that I don't speak like that".
"Do I?" Metz began in an exaggerated tone before the visual cut to Brie, though they continued to play the audio of Metz who began to say, "She's such a b". "Alison and I obviously are friends. I love Alison, I follow her". So I'm glad that ... "On the heels of the powerful show of solidarity via the Time's Up movement amongst women and allies in the industry on the same Golden Globes Red Carpet just one year ago, I can't imagine a scenario where Chrissy would want anything more than to support her female counterparts". "I saw her on the carpet and I told her how lovely she looked". "It's actually not me speaking about that, so it's unfortunate".
And Metz says the two have already cleared the air through text. "I know her. I saw her on the carpet and I told her how handsome she looked".
