Chance The Rapper Explained Why He Worked With R. Kelly Despite The Disgraced Singer’s Reputation

R. Kelly and his properties are under investigation by the Fulton County D.A. The D.A. has gotten into contact with R. Kelly's alleged sex slave Joycelyn Savage for questioning.

"If it wasn't just black women who R. Kelly had been molesting and abusing - if it wasn't just black women - he would have been attacked by the system in a different way".

ET Canada has reached out to the Fulton Country District Attorney's Office for comment, though TMZ reports that the DA's office is not commenting.

In case you've missed the drama surrounding R Kelly following the release of a six-hour length Lifetime documentary regarding his sexual predation, the explosive TV episodes have one again brought the risky rapper to light.

The Facebook page "Surviving Lies" was removed Monday after attacks were posted on two Kelly accusers, Faith Rodgers and Asante McGee, both of whom spoke out in the series. While Savage has claimed she was with Kelly of her own free will, her family and friends believe he has brainwashed her.

R Kelly has denied all allegations, and has said he intends to sue everyone involved in the documentary, including the alleged victims.

Let us know where you stand in this debacle.

Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly has made major waves in the case of the R&B singer allegedly sexually assaulting numerous young girls over the years. Bruce Kelly, R. Kelly's older brother, attempted to defend his sibling's alleged pedophilia as simply being "a preference", and later expressed joy when he was acquitted on child pornograpy charges back in 2002. Since the docuseries' close, Kelly's team has been adamantly discrediting his accusers and denying any of the revelations unmasked during those televised six hours. There are reports that the series sparked renewed interest in Kelly's music, but chatter on social media about the series also called attention to groups that seek to end violence against women.

R. Kelly's music on Spotify is spiking, according to The Blast, and Jada Pinkett Smith is "having a really hard time understanding why".

Investigators were reportedly inundated with leads following the airing of the Lifetime documentary, according to the outlet and "have been asking for contact information from others who have lived in Kelly's former Atlanta home or have direct knowledge of what happened in the home".

Now, 51-year-old R. Kelly has seen his Spotify streams jump 16%.
