Foles gives Eagles lift they need just in time to beat Bears

Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander left breaks up a pass intended for Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton during Sunday's game at Soldier Field in Chicago on Dec. 16 2018

Eagles beat Bears 16-15

Seeing the Chicago Bears go one-and-done in the playoffs after waiting eight long years to see them return was one of the harder losses I have ever witnessed.

The drama in Chicago started late in the fourth quarter when Parkey lined up for a 43-yard field goal.

But just a split-second before kicker Cody Parkey split the uprights with his kick, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson called a crucial time-out.

Philadelphia Eagles fans are flooding a Venmo account allegedly belonging to Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey - or someone with the same name - after Parkey's missed 43-yard field goal attempt handed the Eagles a win during the National Football League playoff game on Sunday night.

He also made sure to point out that Parkey's kick, as video revealed, was partially blocked. People around the country took to social media to criticize, threaten, demean, humiliate, and attack the 2014 Pro Bowl kicker following his first season wearing a Bears uniform.

Initially, it just looked like a miss that hit the upright crossbar, but after close examination, it turned out that Trevyon Hester was actually able to get his finger on it, and that caused the ball to change its trajectory. "I thought I hit a good ball". It meant the Bears missed out by the slimmest of margins as the Eagles scraped through. Rex Ryan says Parkey has to make that kick and he doesn't feel sorry for him.

What a finish to a insane game.

"The sun's gonna shine tomorrow, life's gonna go on, and unfortunately it's gonna sting for a while".
