Macaulay Culkin asked his fans to pick a new middle name for him in time for Christmas as part of a freaky publicity stunt.
The "Home Alone" star let fans decide what his new moniker would be and they chose Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.
He asked fans on Twitter what he should change his middle name to, and "Macaulay Culkin" won. "In 2019 my new legal name will be: Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin". The options included "Shark Week", "Kieran" ( his brother's first name), "The McRib Is Back", and "Publicity Stunt", but ultimately, his Twitter followers decided on "Macaulay Culkin".
More than 60,000 people voted for the eventual victor Macaulay Culkin.
"And then you can be all "Oh, you got your wife a handsome portrait of your family?"
This poll is open till Christmas Eve so I can wake up to a wonderful present from everyone. But with over 60,000 votes, the runaway victor was "Macaulay Culkin".
"Sure, I might have gold plated watercraft, and chrome plated invisibility cloaks, but all I want for Christmas is a new middle name. It has a nice ring to it (if you like my name)".
Macaulay Culkin's dedication to ridiculous ideas is truly impressive.
Macaulay is used to making waves on social media. Now finished with his pizza-themed Velvet Underground covers, he recently revisited Home Alone (while also refusing to watch it). In fact, Angels With Filthy Souls, known for its iconic line of "Keep the change, ya filthy animal", was custom-made for Home Alone.
