Shoppers grab last-minute gifts during 'Super Saturday'

Whether you're hosting family and friends for Christmas or you're bringing food as a guest to another family member's celebration, or you simply haven't purchased your Christmas gifts yet, no one's immune from forgetting something important. Thankfully, the tragedy of arriving at the grocery store only to realize it's closed can be easy to overcome so long as you're aware of exactly what is going to be open and when this upcoming holiday week!

Oriental Jade is open until 9:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and will have a special buffet from noon to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. Unlike other stores whose hours may vary by location, Costco hours are chainwide. The Eaton Centre will open from 10 9:30 p.m.

Macy's will stay open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Shoppers are heading out on Christmas Eve to make the most of new discounts, in a late surge in trading.

Sam's Club: Open on Christmas Eve CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY.

Government offices will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, reopening on December 27.

Wine Rack stores and many local craft breweries will also have extended hours, although you should check ahead before you go. Chipotle, Taco Bell, Del Taco, Moe's Southwest Grill and Qdoba Mexican Grill will be open for the day.

Bright Lights Windsor at Jackson Park will be open each night from 5:30 10 p.m.

TTC Christmas Day - Sunday schedule, starts at 8 a.m. Boxing Day - Sunday schedule, starts at 6 a.m.

Costco: Christmas Eve: Open 9 5 p.m. It's closed on Christmas Day.

Some restaurants may have adjusted hours for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so be sure to check the hours for your local location.

The LCBO is closed both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
