Much of what you get on the McLaren Edition is the same as the standard OnePlus 6T variant.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the McLaren edition gets 10GB of RAM as well as new Warp Charge 30 charging adapter.

The box for the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is also rather special.

"The McLaren edition is still based on the current OnePlus 6T device and it retains the same 6.41" Full HD+ AMOLED display with a taller 19.5:9 display aspect ratio. OnePlus has finally bumped up its charging tech with a new Warp Charge 30. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition brings more memory and faster charging, but no other major under the hood changes. There is more McLaren stuff in the box as well.

Although OnePlus has already crammed a 3,700mAh battery into the OnePlus 6T, the ability to gain a few more hours of screen-on time in just a few minutes is an attractive feature. One of the main things he dwelled on is the success story of OnePlus 6T, which has seen a 249 percent boost in sales at the United States location.

OnePlus, a Chinese smartphone maker will be launching the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition flagship smartphone in India today at an event in Mumbai. The British auto manufacturer is known for its high-performance cars, and unique design - especially its use of Papaya Orange.

It does this through integrated circuits in both the charger and the phone, and "finely tuned power management software", which allows it to consistently deliver 30 watts of power. The bundled charger also comes with braided orange cable and the phone has Orange on Black as its accent colour in the new OxygenOS theme that OnePlus has put in this special variant of the OnePlus 6T. It was also said that OnePlus 6 was a success on its own level, having sold 1 million units in about 22 days in the early parts of 2018. This special edition features a black carbon fiber design with "Papaya Orange" elements around the rim, starting fairly solid on the bottom and fading as it moves towards the top of the device.

Encased in the box is McLaren's logo, the iconic Speedmark, recreated in McLaren-designed F1 AA grade carbon fibre - the same material used in the McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 vehicle.

The new phone goes on sale in North America and Western Europe this Thursday, December 13, with availability in India, China and the Nordics soon after.

This is probably mostly one for McLaren fans and if that's you then the Speedmark and book should help the jump in price feel even less significant.
