The people who came in were injured, including the bleeding man who was pistol-whipped while trying to stop the shooter. He said the shooter acted alone and authorities are investigating possible motives.
Florida State University President John Thrasher said the school was devastated by the loss of two of their own.
The Police Chief is asking anyone who might have been near or driving by the scene around the time it took place to call TPD with any information they have. The shooting's two victims were identified as 61-year-old Dr. Nancy Van Vessem and 21-year-old Maura Binkley.

"Without being aware, she was a mentor". She was in the class and thought she was going to die when the shooting broke out. "Even if we didn't agree on something, you knew she was operating from a position of protecting her patients".
In one instance, he was accused of slapping, grabbing and shaking a 19-year-old woman's backside at a Tallahassee apartment complex's swimming pool, but the case was not prosecuted.
