Ariana Grande Says Big Sean & Ricky Alvarez Heard "Thank U, Next" Before It Dropped

Fans were quick to praise the singer for moving on so gracefully, and one in particular said her therapist was a miracle worker.

Ariana Grande is encouraging fans to follow her lead and seek out therapy to deal with trauma, because it has been her saviour "so many times".

Titled "Thank u, next", this song allows the superstar to empty his bag and, most importantly, move on to something else after her numerous relationships.

"Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match/Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen and laugh/Even nearly got married/And for Pete, I'm so thankful/Wish I could say, "Thank you" to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel", she sings.

"Even nearly got married/And for Pete I'm so thankful/Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel", she sings. "I've loved and I've lost / But that's not what I see / "Cause look what I've found / Ain't no need for searching", she croons". It's a message that resonates with fans, and many made sure to let her know how much this meant on social media.

While referencing Ricky, who she dated from 2015 to 2016, Ariana sings: "Wrote some songs about Ricky/ Now I listen and laugh". "I truly am grateful". But according to TMZ, Davidson's kind words about the "Breathin'" songstress were a result of him hearing the track early, too.

Following the release of the song, Davidson addressed his split with the pop star during the "Weekend Update" segment on Saturday Night Live. Davidson went on to describe Grande as a "wonderful, strong person" and wished her all the happiness in the world. A source told People, "He waited to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed".

To which Ariana responded, "they heard it before it came out".
