OnePlus 6T comes just five months after the launch of OnePlus 6 in May and it has huge shoes to fill after most critics believed that it is nearly impossible to make a better smartphone without increasing the price. As such, OnePlus 6T owners won't need to spend any time reshuffling apps around to get their preferred layout.
Such a difference in performance could allow the OnePlus 6T to perform more capably under heavy usage than Google's latest and greatest. The entry-level OnePlus 6T still keeps the same 6GB RAM, though. As per specs sheet, it comes with 128GB of internal storage without microSD card slot support for expansion. The launch will simultaneously take place at events in NY and New Delhi.
As per the leak, the OnePlus 6T features a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and flash.
Apart from leaking the specs, Ishan Agarwal also shared renders of the OnePlus 6T which shows the Screen Unlock and Never Settle signs on the display. But then Apple announced that it will also hold an event in NY on October 30 morning - probably to launch some new iPads and new MacBook Air successor - and OnePlus chose to hold its event one day earlier.
Key improvements in the OnePlus 6T include an in-display fingerprint sensor and reduced "Waterdrop" screen notch.
The India launch of the OnePlus 6T will be at 8.30PM at a venue in Delhi.
OnePlus will officially launch the 6T on October 29th in a NY event which was moved forward a day after Apple confirmed it was holding its own event on the same date.
OnePlus 6T runs on Android 9 Pie with a layer of OxygenOS.
As far as Europe is concerned, only one model price has been leaked.
But right now we don't know how accurate are these prices, and we have no clue about the price of the 64GB variant of the OnePlus 6T, if that variant exists.
The device will sport a 6.4-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) Optic AMOLED display, according to this leak, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor.
