Leak Confirms New Cheap MacBook, Mac Mini, and iMacs for October 30

New iPad Pro, Macs, and more: The rumors ahead of Apple's Oct. 30 event

What's Going To Happen At Apple's iPad And MacBook Event Next Week?

The company is set to launch the new Mac computers and iPad tablets on October 30 in Brooklyn, New York. By redesigning the iPad, Apple will differentiate the iPad Pro lineup from its lower powered tablets.

There are other devices the tech giant might reveal too, including Apple's frequently-delayed AirPower charging pad and the often-rumoured 2nd-generation version of its wireless Bluetooth AirPods. We'll be liveblogging the event right here, so come back for the latest news when the event begins.

A month after Apple revealed a new smartwatch and a new iPhone lineup that finally does away with the home button once and for all, the company will hold a follow-up event next week that's tag-lined, "There's more in the making".

Apple's new iPad Pro is expected to feature minimized bezels and possibly a display notch depending on what rumours you believe.

An icon found by9to5Mac in a previous iOS 12 beta reveals the difference between the current iPad Pro design, and what the new iPad Pro's will look like - even if it's just an icon.

The new iPad Pros are expected to adopt several design elements that should be familiar to users of the iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR, like near-edge-to-edge displays and Face ID.

With the main holiday shopping season rolling around, it would be the flawless time for Apple to introduce some new models, although aside from the internals we're not expecting all that much to change - the design and the starting prices (currently £1,249/$1,299 are likely to remain consistent).

Apple's flagship tablet has always been considered as the best digital slate on the market and this latest update may cement its place as the number one. It's now unclear what will be changed in this new Apple Pencil iteration, though extended battery life and a more efficient charging method are likely upgrades. Instead of using its proprietary technology for syncing or using an external monitor with the iPad, Apple will reportedly use USB-C.

But the new MacBook Air is probably a more awaited product. A new iMac is also long overdue, since the current models are no longer available for purchase officially. The laptop's bezels will also be slimmed down significantly as well, according to various reports.

Prices start from £619 but can rise to over £1,110 and that's before you've added the Apple Pencil stylus (£89) and Smart Keyboard case (£159).

Alongside the new iPad Pro, it's possible Apple will announce a handful of new accessories.

Apple will hold a press conference in NY next week to announce all the new products it plans to launch ahead of the holidays.

Similar to the MacBook Air, Apple's pint-sized Mac Mini desktop computer hasn't been updated for years. The latter would be a big upgrade over the existing Mac mini, which has languished without an update since 2014.

There were rumors of Apple launching the AirPods 2 this year.

It's thought Apple will push the display to the very sides of the tablet and ditch the famous home button with users unlocking the device using Face ID.

There are a variety of rumours circulating about the new AirPods, including noise-cancelling and water resistance, but one feature the new version of the earbuds will nearly certainly get is wireless charging given that Apple first revealed the earbuds' new wireless charging case a year ago.
