Former first daughter Barbara Bush married Craig Louis Coyne in a private ceremony in ME on Sunday.

George Bush paid tribute to his late mother, Barbara Bush, in the post, writing that his daughter and mother share similar traits. "And we're thrilled to welcome Craig Coyne to our family", he wrote in his caption.

In a Monday morning Instagram post, the second President Bush said he and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, "are so proud of our compassionate, daring, fierce, kind, intelligent, loving daughter".

Laura Bush called it "a wonderful day". Only 20 members of Barbara's family witnessed her simple yet romantic ceremony, according to PEOPLE, but the guest list contained some major political icons.

The bride's twin sister, Jenna, wrote in an emotional post on Instagram, "Happy tears, heart exploding as I watched this attractive girl get married in the place that means love and family".
