Ibrahimovic's goal was greeted by a standing ovation from the opposition fans but the Swede dismissed the gesture as a run of the mill response to his customary brilliance.

Los Angeles Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich scored Saturday night against Toronto FC, bringing his career goal total to 500 between caps with club and country.

In action for LA Galaxy against Toronto, Ibrahimovic turned home Jonathan Santos' chipped pass with an acrobatic roundhouse kick. It reminds me of a goal I did in Ajax.

Ibrahimovic scored 62 of his goals for Sweden with the rest coming while playing for Malmo FF, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and now the Galaxy. "I probably have more goals than the guys on the field have games together".

Unfortunately for Zlatan and the Galaxy, a Jonathan Osorio goal in the 75th minute and another from Jay Chapman gave Toronto FC the win meaning the Galaxy slip further away from the playoffs. I was just trying to hit the goal and it went in. In doing this, Zlatan, known for scoring the most outrageous goals, added one more to his collection.

In total, 438 of Ibrahimovic's goals have come in club competition from spells in Holland, Italy, Spain, France, England and now in the United States where he has scored 17 times in 18 league appearances.
