Democratic primary voters will also choose candidates for attorney general and the state Legislature in the nation's final primary before Election Day. James has the backing of Cuomo, while Teachout is endorsed by Sen.
The victor of the Democratic primary will face Republican Keith Wofford in the attorney general's race in the heavily blue state. He's spent millions on ads and tried to make the race about Republican President Donald Trump, arguing that he's the best qualified to govern and push back against the White House.
