Juventus B won the first game 3-2 but they have not beaten the first team in the match since 2005.

The Cristiano Ronaldo era at Juventus is off to a superb start.

"I've been coming here since I was 12 years old back in the 1960s, when (Gianni) Agnelli would arrive here in a helicopter", he said.

Ronaldo was named in the starting line-up and he took just eight minutes to find the net for the first time wearing a Juventus jersey.

Ronaldo formed a front three alongside Dybala and Douglas Costa, a trident that will surely produce plenty more goals as the Serie A season gets underway.

Having taken extended leave after the 2018 World Cup and his move from Real Madrid, the Portugal striker was finally introduced to fans in Sunday's friendly against the club's Primavera side.

With just a week to go until the Serie A season kicks off, Ronaldo will have wanted to work off the rustiness on the field, and he had the chance to do so against the Juve B-team.

Come the half-time whistle, Ronaldo shot off the pitch - followed by one ambitious fan who had to be held off by security after dashing towards and trying to hug his new hero - and towards delirous fans waiting near the dressing rooms, for whom he patiently signed autographs and posed for selfies.

The Agnelli family have run Juventus for almost 100 years and chairman Andrea Agnelli was instrumental in securing the funds required to pluck Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

"Maybe. Of course, it helps when you see the people like you, the supporters and club like you, the feeling is completely different".

Ronaldo, who joined the Serie A champions last month in a deal worth a £100million, made the ideal start to life in Turin.
