Crenshaw used his feet to grab a pair of scissors and struck Coronado twice before walking away, police said.

Jonathan Crenshaw was often seen on the streets of South Beach painting canvas with his brush between his toes.

In a freaky incident, a 46-year-old homeless was arrested for stabbing a tourist with a pair of scissors using his feet.

Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, is accused of holding a pair of scissors with his feet and stabbing 22-year-old Cesar Coronado just after midnight on Tuesday morning, according to Miami Beach police.

But a female friend who was traveling with Coronado told a different story.

Coronado told investigators that he and his girlfriend, Cindy Barrientos, 22, and also of Chicago, stopped to ask Crenshaw for directions.

Coronado was found bleeding from his left arm; Crenshaw was arrested the following day and he told an officer that the stabbing happened in self-defence, the Herald reported.

Coronado was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries.

Crenshaw has an extensive criminal past, including battery of law enforcement officers, according to local police.

According to a Reuters report, he was subsequently detained near the attack site in a shopping and tourist area around the South Beach and charged with one count of aggravated battery, a second-degree felony. His court date will be on July18.
