Official Red Band Trailer emerged onto the streaming site as an 89 minute upload of the crime drama.

What must be the scariest thing to be tasked with when you're part of a movie production team?

Website Comic Book Resources was one of the first to notice and report the mistake, writing: "some commenters on YouTube began to wonder whether it's a marketing stunt".

"It's nearly like this is a viral marketing gimmick for a film they didn't expect to generate a lot of buzz on its own or something", one Reddit user wrote.

We can't blame the latest movie leak on pirates, nope - this is all on Sony.

The film is slated for an August 31 theatrical release, according to IMDB.

It has reportedly already been released on DVD and Blu-ray in the Netherlands.

But the previously cold-hearted killer starts to develop empathy for the targets of his hit, and he is forced into making the hardest decision of his life.

As of now, it appears that Khali the Killer: Official Red Band Trailer was supposed to work around as a teaser trailer of the movie.

The film itself regales the tale of Khali (look away now if you don't want spoilers!) a young man doing his best to exist despite having no discernible character traits.

Khali the Killer is a low-budget film about a hitman in Los Angeles, which has been released in Europe and played at various film festivals without attracting much attention. Just not via Sony's YouTube channel.
