But because Scott survived his trip there, Hank and his daughter Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), the new Wasp, become convinced Janet might still be alive in the dimension.

"Jim Starlin said, he found out that they're actually going to put it into a special edition Avengers: Infinity War", states Schnepp: "The way [Starlin] was saying it, they weren't going to be seen as deleted scenes, they were actually going to be re-integrated into the film to make a special edition that had all those scenes re-incoporated".

Meanwhile, according to Collider's Jon Schnepp, Thanos creator Jim Stalin has reportedly revealed that Marvel is working on an extended edition of the movie, featuring 30 minutes of the Mad Titan's backstory. In the first post-credits scene, the trio sends Scott into the Quantum Realm in order to recover some data.

Join host and the master of Quantum entanglement, Jessica Chobot, as she offers a few theories about how Ant-Man and the Wasp's penultimate scene sets up Avengers 4. This has led fans to speculate that the fourth Avengers movie will have some sort of time travel or alternate reality involved, which is where the Quantum Realm comes in. The audience watches Hope, Hank and Janet float away. So that's where we leave Scott: Stuck in the quantum realm, holding a big handful of "healing particles", and not sure what to do or even with a method of escape. We're taken to the Lang house-eerily deserted, with the TV cut to an emergency broadcasting channel. Here's how we think that might have a major baring on Avengers 4. But since the film is out, numerous questions we've had since the release of Avengers: Infinity War have been answered - especially the one about how Ant-Man connects to Avengers 4. We also learned that spending enough time in the Quantum Realm alters one physiology and can imbue a person with the ability to control-or at least manipulate-quantum particles in people's bodies.

In the meantime, Avengers 4 is slated to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2019 while Spider-Man: Far From Home will come shortly afterward on July 5, 2019.

It's also worth considering that the Quantum Realm may have literally been out of reach of Thanos's snap all together, and thus, in one way or another, immune to the Infinity Stones' powers.
