While Game of Thrones fans may have to wait until 2019 for more drama, on-screen and IRL lovers Kit Harington and Rose Leslie gave the people what they wanted on Saturday, when they officially exchanged vows at a castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where Seb Leslie, her father, owns a castle.
Harington and Leslie met on the show in 2012.
"We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today".
The couple, who play hero Jon Snow and "wildling" Ygitte, travelled two miles from Wardhill Castle to Rayne Church, in Kirton of Rayne, for the service conducted by Benedictine monk father Chad Boutlon.
Also in attendance were the couple's Game of Thrones co-stars, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, and Emilia Clarke. Harington, wearing a morning suit, and Leslie, in a flowing ivory gown and veil, smiled at members of the public who had gathered outside the church.
"My goodness! You know, we like to spread the love on our show".
A wedding date of June 23 was previously posted at Aberdeenshire's Huntly registration office.
And he said: "It's a great day for Aberdeenshire".
The radiant redhead also donned a cream floral headband using the same array of flowers that made up her miniature bouquet.
Earlier this year, Rose spoke out about her relationship with her co-star, as she revealed she refused to make eye contact with him when he was reading the Game of Thrones script.
Leslie left the show in 2014, but Harington's iconic character has appeared in every episode.
"The country is lovely. the Northern Lights are magical.it was there that I fell in love". "But we were in the country and we were under this handsome night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine". I'm a sucker for a beaming dad on his daughter's wedding day.
