Giuliani Strikes Out On 74th Birthday By Being Booed At Yankees Game

Rudy Giuliani Booed By Fans At New York Yankees Game After Stadium Announcer Wishes Him A Happy Birthday

Watch: Rudy Giuliani booed by NYY fans on his birthday

The idea of Giuliani getting an ugly reception from a crowd at his home town would have seemed unthinkable a decade ago.

What's something Yankees fans dislike, aside from whatever baseball team they're playing against?

Giuliani, who served as mayor from 1994 to 2001, joined President Trump's legal team in April. He was mayor of NY from 1994 to 2001, so he's known to residents in that city.

To be fair, the announcement came when the team was down 5-1 to the Astros, so the fans took their frustration out on the former New York City Mayor. The newest member of Trump's legal team has made the rounds on television news programs, loudly declaring that the president is innocent in the ongoing Russian Federation probe. As a talking head, Giuliani became a polarizing figure, accusing Barack Obama of hating America and proposing that Hillary Clinton could be a "founding member of ISIS".

As of March 2018, according to Quinnipiac, that number has only increased one percentage point, with 19 percent of New Yorkers saying they approve of the job Trump is doing.

After taking an early lead in the Republican primary polls for the 2008 election, Giuliani quickly flamed out and was put out to pasture as a Fox News pundit.
