From the image in the invitation, we can notice that it is not a Moto G6 in the hand of the model. Big Red is now offering Motorola's latest mid-tier G line family member at a monthly price of $10 or $240 at full retail.
The Moto G6 Play will carry a 5.7-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 427 processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo operating platform. The most premium of these, the Motorola Moto G6 plus sure looks like a solid phone on paper. As for Moto G6 Play, the smartphone has a less display with less resolution, larger battery, low storage option and a less powerful camera.
In the image shown above, the smartphone and the Moto Mod are seen placed side by side.
Motorola is yet to launch any of the "Z" series smartphones this year, but it is rumored that next month, the Moto Z3 Play is launching as a mid-range smartphone from Motorola. Although we don't know about the availability of Moto G6 plus yet, Motorola had earlier announced that the Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Play will be debuting in India on 4th June as an Amazon and Flipkart exclusive, respectively. And from the images that have appeared so far, the smartphone in the hand of the model is very similar, pulling the front, which is edited. Under the hood you will find the Snapdragon 636 mobile platform carrying an octa-core CPU running at 1.8GHz. It will also have a 3,000 mAh of battery and support microSD cards to expand the 32GB or 64GB of storage. The smartphone is expected to run a near stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. And for the camera, it has dual cameras on the rear 12-megapixel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel secondary shooter, accompanied by an LED flash with 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
