After Gobert's late January return, the Jazz posted the second best record in the National Basketball Association (30-8), the best defensive rating in the National Basketball Association (97.5), the best net rating (10.8), the lowest opponent scoring average (97.4) and were tied for the lowest opponent field goal percentage during that stretch (.431). Green, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, made the All-Defensive First Team in the three previous seasons.
Gobert and Davis, both 25, are finalists for the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

Davis, another finalist for Defensive Player of the Year, led the National Basketball Association in blocks per game (2.6), finished fifth in rebounds per game (11.1), and ranked 15th in steals per game (1.5). He averaged 12.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.08 blocks over 72 games. This is the third time Lillard has earned All-NBA honors, but his first appearance as a First Team selection.
Harden, the league's scoring champion and odds on favourite to take home MVP honours, is a unanimous selection for the second straight season.
Draymond Green, Golden State - 26 first-team votes, 34 second-team votes, 86 total points.
Dejounte Murray, San Antonio - 32 first-team votes, 16 second-team votes, 80 total points.
Other Jazzmen received some recognition: Ricky Rubio earned two votes, while Donovan Mitchell and Derrick Favors each got a second-team vote.
