"On behalf of the entire Colts organization, we extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims of the Noblesville West Middle School shooting and the Noblesville community".

A male student left class Friday morning, returned, and opened fire inside a classroom, injuring Seaman and a 13-year-old female student. Another student suffered a broken ankle, the station reports. Authorities believe there are no other suspects, but have revealed that there have been additional threats made at other schools in the area, including Noblesville High School.

A police chief says an IN middle school student asked to be excused from class, then returned with two handguns and opened fire.

Seventh-grader Ethan Stonebraker says the class was taking a test at Noblesville West Middle School when the student walked in late, pulled out a gun and started firing.

The students ran to the back of the classroom to hide, and that's when the science teacher bravely tackled the student and swatted the gun away from him, possibly saving others from getting injured. We understand at least one student and an adult may be injured, and we are praying for the best. He also said that officials would be reviewing video from the school. Their conditions were not known, but their families have been notified, he said. She did not know their conditions.

Jowitt said a second threat that locked down Noblesville High School, where the middle school students were bused to reunite with their parents, is not believed to be related to the shooting incident. The school was later given the all clear.

When asked to elaborate on his praise of response, Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter said: "Wait 'til one day we can tell you that story".

Anxious mom Erica Higgins was among those to rush over to the school.

"Well, my ex-wife called me and she was hysterical and couldn't even talk", he said.

Higgins said her son was shaken up but knew little about what happened.
