SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY opens in US theaters on May 25.
It's great to see that Star Wars Battlefront II is bounding back after the microtransaction debacle and subsequent cosmetic-only focus.
Trailers for Solo, including some deadpan lines from co-screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, have excited fans who were initially nervous about Ehrenreich's casting. Instead, J.J. Abrams, who worked on The Force Awakens, is returning to help Episode IX and it sounds like Howard's vision for Solo fit not only Kennedy's idea of what a good Star Wars story should be but the critics' and the fans' as well. Now that you know what to expect, plan accordingly: Deadpool 2 is out roughly one week from now, and Solo hits the week after. "And to his credit - and I appreciate it - he was like, 'I don't like your odds".I just really wanted to be it, because that was my first toy and I just really wanted to be that character".
The movie is the second film to enter the Star Wars Stories franchise but it has been plagued by production problems, as directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired by LucasFilm near the end of production over what was blamed as creative differences, while star Alden Ehrenreich was rumoured to have been given an acting coach. Meanwhile, Thandie Newton as Val and Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Lando's droid companion, L3-37, also get special mentions.

According to the Star Wars team, Han Solo Season is created to "pay homage" to both the original trilogy, as well as the standalone movie arriving later this month. But the initial feedback suggests he's done Harrison Ford proud. But once it kicks into its hey-let's-make-a-crew and yes-also-do-a-heist stuff, it totally flies.
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, both actors playing younger versions of the characters made famous by the original "Star Wars" trilogy.
"It feels like I get to be a part of the bible or somehting", Glover told Heat Vision of joining the Star Wars galaxy.
