LSU interested in Ohio State's Joe Burrow, other transferring QB? Look to Orgeron's comments...

Joe Burrow To Transfer From Ohio State

"Burrow, a 6'3", 215-pounder from The Plains, Ohio, made clear a transfer was a possibility after the spring game.

Timing is everything. We just wrote about all of this yesterday, and now we have our answer.

Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow plans to transfer, he said via Twitter on Tuesday.

Will Dwayne Haskins be better than J.T. Barrett? NU coaches did not rule out the possibility of exploring the graduate transfer market and they reportedly had at least some contact with Arizona graduate transfer Brandon Dawkins before he signed with IN early IN the spring, but it remains to be seen if Frost and company will make a strong push for any transfer.

A destination for the kid out of Athens, Ohio is yet unknown, though we took a stab at some likely landing spots earlier.

We'll have more for what this means for Ohio State, so stay with us at Buckeye Wire through the next day or so. Haskins played admirably after replacing an injured Barrett at MI, completing 6 of 7 passes, setting up a touchdown with a key scramble, and winning the game, but the rest of his playing time at Ohio State has come in blowouts.

Haskins was going to be the Buckeyes' starter in 2018. A redshirt junior, he still has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

247Sports' Chris Hummer had this to say about why it would be wise for Campbell to explore adding Burrow to the roster.

Ohio State's loss is potentially the University of Florida's gain.

Ohio State opens the 2018 season September 1 against Oregon State. I don't know. Two is scary, you want to have a minimum of three.
