At least two people have been injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in Mill Valley, according to Marin County sheriff's deputies. Deputies carried the victims from the scene to ambulances according to Sergeant Brenton Schneider with the Marin County Sheriff's Department.

Less than two hours after the shooting police were seen breaking down a door at the complex, where they discovered the elderly gunman had been killed by an apparent gunshot wound.

"The suspect is described as an 80-year-old Hispanic man, approximately 5'5" tall, wearing a white t-shirt.

Deputies found the wounded victims after responding to a report of shots being fired at the apartment complex on east Blithedale Avenue shortly before 3:30pm, authorities said.

An elderly man who police consider armed and unsafe is being sought following a shooting at a Marin apartment complex.

"We have a good perimeter of where we believe the suspect to be", Schneider told the Times.
